The Student Energy Fellowship Program is designed for young people interested in and passionate about the energy transition, who can commit to completing the SE curriculum over the course of 8 months, from March 2024 to October 2024. The Fellowship consists of two separate Tiers, summarized below.

You must select a Tier at the start of your application. As a multidisciplinary program, both Tiers of the Fellowship aim to help participants find their unique path towards accelerating the energy transition through the many possible career paths available today. We hope that Fellows will continue to use their skills, networks, and experiences from the program to continue accelerating the energy transition beyond the Fellowship. A high-level overview of energy systems and project development skills, the Fellowship is for young people who are looking to take the next step on their energy transition journey. The program curriculum teaches the foundations of project development, providing skills that apply to any level. Both Tiers of the Fellowship access the same learning modules, with the core difference being Tier 1 Fellows work on a project with their coach, while Tier 2 Fellows work solely through the online content. All Fellows will attend the same workshops and social mixers where they can network with one another and learn about each other’s project ideas and interests.

Tier Selection

Please do not use the Back button at any point throughout the application form to prevent errors.

Please note that your participation will be as an individual all throughout the program.
We will not create or merge teams from accepted applicants. If you would like to work on a team instead, please look for people to work with before sending a single application as a team.

Please note that team applications are received, evaluated, and accepted on a per team basis.

Each team should consist of a one (1) Team Leader and one to four (1-4) Team Members. The Team Leader serves as the main point of contact of the team throughout the program. An application to the Tier 1 of the Fellowship should be initiated only by the Team Leader. Instructions will then be provided for the rest of the members to join the team.

We will not create or merge teams from accepted applicants. If you would like to work with a team, build your team before the application period closes. Teams can be groups of 2-5 people, all of which should meet the eligibility requirements.

A team leader is the designated contact person of a team and will be required to input details about their project idea. Team members will only be asked for their profile information.

You have indicated that you are applying as a Team Member.

Before you proceed, please check this list if your Team Leader has registered your group using the search bar above. If you do not see your team above, do not proceed and make sure your Team Leader has already applied.

Note: Fellowship Tier 2 applications are accepted and evaluated on an individual basis.

If you are the Team Leader, click on Start Application to apply for the whole team.
If you are NOT the Team Leader, make sure that your Team Leader has already created a team.
If you are unsure, coordinate with your team and determine who should start the application as the designated Team leader.
